SOPHIE VERNIER-REIFFERS APPOINTED GENERAL COUNSEL OF CANAL+

Sophie Vernier-Reiffers has been appointed General Counsel of CANAL+. She reports to Maxime Saada, CEO of CANAL+, and joins the group’s Executive Committee.

A graduate of Université Paris Dauphine and Université Paris Nanterre, Sophie Vernier-Reiffers has dual expertise in French and Spanish law. A former member of the Paris Bar, specializing in corporate law, securities law and mergers & acquisitions, she practiced as a lawyer for eight years, including five years at De Gaulle Fleurance & Associés. In 2008, she joined Groupe familial Peugeot, where over the course of eighteen years she built a career spanning legal expertise, corporate governance and the Group’s strategic priorities. She notably served as Deputy General Counsel and Board Secretary until 2021, before becoming General Counsel and Head of Sustainability, and was subsequently appointed General Secretary in 2023.
