Ethics and Compliance
In a nutshell
CANAL+ carries out its business activities in compliance with local and international regulations, and its business conduct and relations with third parties are grounded in high standards of business ethics.
These standards guide its business development and help maintain the Group’s relationships of trust with its business partners and customers. They also strengthen its overall performance. They are enshrined in a compliance programme, which includes risk mapping, compliance codes and policies, third-party assessments, a whistleblowing system, internal controls, audits and training for Group employees in ethical behaviour.
Organisation & Responsibilities
The Sustainability Strategy and Compliance programme are driven at the highest level by the Management Board, which closely monitors action plans and performance indicators through dedicated committees.
Specific working groups and local contributors are appointed in each subsidiary to ensure these programmes are widely rolled out.
Strategy and results are examined by the Audit & Sustainability Committee reporting to the Supervisory Board.
Comprehensive programmes include risk mapping and materiality analysis, third-party assessments, whistleblowing systems, internal controls and audits.
Code of ethics
The Code of Ethics reflects CANAL+’s commitments regarding respect of individuals, integrity, asset protection and environmental protection. It refers to the various policies implemented across the Group, ensuring consistency and alignment with the Group’s overall ethical and compliance standards and guides the group’s employees in carrying out their work and in their decision-making.
Anti-corruption code of conduct
The Anti-corruption Code of Conduct is at the heart of the CANAL+ Group’s anti-corruption system, reflecting our strict zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and influence peddling. It provides a set of guiding principles and rules that all the Group’s employees are required to understand and follow in their daily activities.
Sustainable purchasing policy
In accordance with the Code of Ethics, the Sustainable Purchasing Policy sets out the principles applicable to purchasing practices and the supply chain and captures the Group’s ethical, social, and environmental expectations from its business partners.
CANAL+ Alert Line
CANAL+ has implemented CANAL+ Alert Line, a whistleblowing platform, accessible at the following address: alerte.canal-plus.com.
CANAL+ Alert Line offers a secure, confidential means to report concerns related to any breach of CANAL+ codes and policies, or any breach of law and regulation and to exchange information via secure messaging.
CANAL+ REPORTING PROCEDURES
CANAL+ has established a Reporting procedure which sets out guidelines on how concerns should be reported, as well as the processes in place for handling and investigating these reports.
