In a nutshell
To help accelerate decarbonisation and support the development of creative talent, at CANAL+ we go beyond our own operations. We are committed to reducing carbon emissions across the entire value chain, contributing to the transition towards a more sustainable media and entertainment industry. At the same time, we invest in fostering the next generation of creative talent, ensuring that diverse voices and skills can thrive and share the stories of tomorrow.

Reducing carbon emissions across the entire value chain
Improving energy efficiency in our own operations: Through increased energy efficiency and a strong shift to renewable energy, the Group continues to significantly reduce its direct emissions, demonstrating tangible progress year after year.
Encouraging low-carbon content production: 100% of CANAL+ Originals produced in France and all STUDIOCANAL UK productions received eco-production certification in 2025 (Ecoprod / Albert).
Developing circular economy solutions for our set-top boxes: CANAL+ is advancing circular economy practices with a new set-top box made from 97% recycled plastic and a 95% refurbishment rate of set-top boxes in France, significantly reducing resource use and electronic waste.
Promoting multi-stakeholder initiatives to help decarbonise the industry, particularly streaming: By engaging suppliers, creators, and employees, and embedding climate considerations into governance and decision-making, CANAL+ is accelerating the transition towards a more sustainable media ecosystem.

In Europe, CANAL+ also expands collaborations with CinéFabrique, the Cité Européenne des Scénaristes, the London Screen Academy, StoryFest and Fundacja Filmowa to nurture emerging writers, directors and creators.
Promoting gender equality at every level of the company and across the industry: CANAL+ is strengthening its commitment to diversity and inclusion with women representing 55% of the Executive Committee, an Equality Professional Index of 97/100, and 33% of first-time films pre-purchased in France in 2025 directed by women.
Engaging stakeholders to uphold human rights, with particular attention to the most vulnerable groups: CANAL+ fosters a safe and inclusive workplace by being the first company to join the Safe Place Movement and achieving an 88% anti-harassment training rate among its employees in the last two years.
Encouraging a culture of solidarity and engagement that extends our impact beyond the workplace: CANAL+ has reinforced its social commitment through the creation of CANAL+ Solidarity, a skills-based sponsorship programme that mobilises employee expertise in support of social impact initiatives.
