CHRISTOPHER MCLOUGHLIN APPOINTED DIRECTOR OF DOCUMENTARIES AT CANAL+ FRANCE

Christopher McLoughlin has been appointed Director of Documentaries at CANAL+ France, effective September 2025. He succeeds Christine Cauquelin and will report to Jean-Marc Juramie, Deputy Managing Director of CANAL+ France in charge of Programs and Channels.

In his new role, Christopher McLoughlin will oversee all documentary content for CANAL+ in France, as well as the TV channels CANAL+ Docs, Planète+, Planète+ Crime, Planète+ Aventure and Seasons. He will be responsible for the creative and operational leadership of original documentary productions. Since 2022, he has served as Deputy Director of Documentaries.

Christopher McLoughlin began his career at L.E.K. Consulting as a management consultant, before joining the Areva Group, a leading European player in nuclear and renewable energy. He joined CANAL+ in 2017 in the strategy department. In 2020, he became commissioning editor in the documentaries team in France, with a particular focus on sports documentaries. Since 2022, he has served as Deputy Director of the Documentaries unit, where he oversaw the creative direction of numerous original documentary productions. Christopher McLoughlin is a graduate of HEC Paris and holds dual French and American citizenship.
