APPOINTMENT OF THOMAS FOLLIN
THOMAS FOLLIN APPOINTED CHIEF GLOBAL TRANSFORMATION OFFICER
Thomas Follin, formerly CEO of SALTO, is joining CANAL+ Group as Chief Global Transformation Officer.
In 2016, CANAL+ Group had a presence in 14 countries and 11 million subscribers, mainly in France. At the end of 2022, it operated in 50 countries and had 25.5 million subscribers, including 16 million outside France, in an environment that’s being reshaped with the emergence of global platforms. In his new role, Thomas Follin will be tasked with accelerating the Group's transformation to become even stronger in a rapidly changing market, strengthening its integration and pooling its strategic assets. In particular, he will be responsible for actions aimed at pooling efforts to create and produce audiovisual content for all of the Group's geographies, alongside Anna Marsh and managers of each geographic areas. With his experience in developing the SALTO platform, Thomas Follin will also be involved in coordinating projects aimed at platformising activity globally, digitalising all the Group's professions and optimising cooperation methods between business professions, geographies and Tech professions, alongside Jacques du Puy, Christophe Pinard-Legry and Stéphane Baumier.
He will report directly to Maxime Saada, Chairman of CANAL+ Group, and work closely with the entire Management Board. He will join the Group on 9 May 2023.
Thomas Follin joined the M6 Group in 2002 as a strategic mission manager. He joined the M6 digital teams as Director of New Media Channels. In 2016, he was appointed Deputy Managing Director within the M6 Group, responsible for 6play and the distribution of audiovisual channels and services, and as such is a member of the M6 Executive Committee. From September 2019 to March 2023, Thomas Follin has been Managing Director of SALTO.
