Creation of the "Bureau de la Comédie"

Jérémie Khiat has been appointed Director of the “Bureau de la Comédie”, effective September 1st, 2026.

CANAL+ Group announces the creation of the “Bureau de la Comédie”, the first cross-functional unit between CANAL+ and STUDIOCANAL entirely dedicated to comedy.

In collaboration with the CANAL+ editorial teams, this unprecedented structure will cover comedy in all its forms : feature-length films, fictions, TV shows and short movies.

As a major and unifying genre, a cornerstone of CANAL+’s identity and one of the driving forces behind STUDIOCANAL’s box-office success, comedy plays a central role in the viewing habits and expectations of the CANAL+ audience and subscribers.

With the “Bureau de la Comédie”, the Group is developing, for the first time, a unified structure able to identify talent, develop and produce ideas, and then implement them across all media.

In this context, Jérémie Khiat has been appointed Director of the “Bureau de la Comédie”, effective September 1st, 2026. He will lead all of the “Bureau de la Comédie” activities and will report to Jean-Marc Juramie, Deputy CEO of CANAL+ France, in charge of Programmes and Channels, and Anna Marsh, CEO of STUDIOCANAL, for feature film co-productions.

With a master’s degree in media management from Paris-Dauphine University, Jérémie Khiat began his career at STUDIOCANAL in 2019 in international film sales before joining the CANAL+ Original Creation development teams. In 2021, he joined STUDIOCANAL's French Film Production division. In 2022, he joined CANAL+ as a project manager, overseeing fictional comedy content. In 2024, he became Editorial Director in charge of TV shows and fictions (Loups-Garous, Le Monde Magique de Jérôme Commandeur…) until the end of 2025.
